Field Moisture Oven
Now fast, accurate moisture determination in the field WITHOUT nuclear radiation or chemicals.
The new Kessler Field Moisture Oven (FMO 200) provides an alternative to nuke gauges, the Speedy, direct heat and laboratory methods. It's perfect for use with the Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP), DCP G-RAD, the GeoGauge, the Klegg Hammer, and the Light Weight Deflectometer. The FMO 200 is powered by a vehicle battery. It provides gravimetric moisture to less than 0.5% in about the same time as the direct heat method (ASTM D-4959). The enclosed scale/oven combination unit prevents loss of sample during testing due to wind, stirring or sample transfers. After pushing the start button the FMO200 runs unattended.
