The kit has a 30″ drive rod (actual penetration depth 28 1/4″) which is the most popular length used by State DOT organizations. Also included are 25 disposable cones with a cone adapter for fast and easy extraction of the instrument from hard soil. The disposable cones minimize risk of bending the drive rod during extraction. The stainless steel dual mass hammer and crush proof Pelican carrying case with transport wheels are included. A vertical scale with both SI and English units is provided for quick & accurate collection of the penetration depths. It also includes upper & lower attachments that holds the vertical scale next to the drive rod for easy reading. Additional disposable cones, cone adapters, and hardened points are available.
