Bulk Disposable Cones come in quantities of 250. The disposable cone is for use in soils where the Hardened Points (Product #K700) are difficult to remove. The disposable cone mounts on a Cone adapter (Product #K800) that is attached to one end of the DCP that is driven into soils. At the conclusion of the test, the disposable cone easily slides off the cone adapter allowing the operator to remove the DCP device from the soil. The disposable cone remains in the soil. Use of the disposable cones will save wear and tear on both the device and the operator while doubling the number of tests that can be run per day.

5 Pack of Hardened Points for the Model K-100 DCP. The steel point (with flats for tightening) is attached to one end of the Drive Rod and driven into low strength soils. The angle of the point is 60 degrees and the diameter of the base of the point is 0.790 inches. The point is larger than that of the rod to ensure that the resistance to penetration is exerted on the point, and not skin friction on the rod. Use in hard or cohesive soils may increase difficulty of extraction of the instrument at the conclusion of the test.
